第一研究室では、環境に適応したネットワーク構成法として、基地局などのインフラに依存せず端末のみで構成されるアドホックネットワークについて研究を行っています。ここでは、WACNetというコンセプトの下に、アンテナやプロトコルを端末自身が自律分散的に制御することにより通信環境の動的変化に対応する適応的な通信システムの研究状況について紹介します。

The primary focus of our research is to implement the concept of a Wireless Ad-Hoc Community Network（WACNet）with the aim of supporting data communications among a group of people within an area, where no installed infrastructure is available. We are conducting research on new architectures and protocols based on adaptive antenna, in order to realize a highly adaptive communication system that may autonomously behave to a dynamic environment.
