ATR音声言語通信研究所では現在、中国語と日本語との間の音声コミュニケーションの研究に取り組んでいます。その第一段階として「ホテル予約に関する会話」に対して優れた性能を持つ中国語音声認識のプロトタイプを作成しました。本稿では中国語の音声認識システムを開発する際の課題とそれらに対する我々のアプローチを紹介します。

ATR Spoken Language Translation Research Laboratories is currently working on Chinese and Japanese speech communication project. After a period of work, we have developed a prototype Chinese recognition system with good performance for ATR task. This paper gives a brief introduction of the problems in developing Chinese speech recognition system and the approaches we have implemented.
