人間の感情の探究や感性や意識の拡張の技術研究を、芸術の創造性を取り入れたアプローチにより行ってきた。具体例として、感情や言葉を通して会話や電子メール上でコミュニケーションの仲介をする「ニューロベイビー」、人間と詩を作る「コンピュータ詩人」、ユーザーの感情が反映する「インタラクティブシアター」、コミュニケーションの隠された気持ちを表現する「無意識の流れ」を紹介する。
I have been carrying out technological research that explores human emotions and
the expansion of human sensibilities and consciousness by making innovative use
of artistic creativity. As examples of this research, I describe Neuro-Baby that
emotionally communicate with people through voice and text in conversation or
e-mail. Also, I will describe the computer poet that can make a poem with people,
Interactive Theater that can reflect people's emotion, and Unconscious Flow that
can express people's hidden emotion.
