当所では、様々な情報機器を、より自由に、かつ柔軟に接続できる新しいネットワーク概念の創出を目的に、電気や光のカオス現象を利用した新機能デバイスの研究とそのネットワーク応用に取り組んでいます。ここでは、その背景と研究状況について紹介します。
