音声翻訳を実際の海外旅行などの音響環境で使用するために、種々の音の中から音声を取り出す手法を検討しています。これは、複数のマイクロホン素子を使って、任意の指向性を構成して対象となる音を抽出するマイクロホンアレーと音の種類を区別
する確率モデルを用いることで実現しています。ここでは、その方法と今後の展開を紹介いたします。
We have proposed a speech recognition method which extracts speech signals of
a target speaker among various kinds of environment sounds in order to use the
speech translation system in real acoustic environments like overseas travels.
The method is composed of a microphone array with multiple microphone elements
for super directivity and statistical models of sounds for sound discrimination.
