Building practical speech synthesis systems
Abstract:This report discusses a history and philosophy of CHATR a generic speech synthesis system.
Specific examples are given of various levels of use of the system. The currently released system is described and important aspects higlighted. Possible extensions to the system are discussed and current problems identified. This report is not intended as a user document for CHATR but a discussion of the overall system.
