Instruction Duration Timing Results
for the Sequent Symmetry Parallel Computer
Abstract:Command-duration benchmark data is mandatory for programmers who want to write
code that runs as fast as possible. This report provides the results of benchmarking the
duration of the execution of various commands on ATR's Sequent Symmetry parallel
computer. This data will allow Sequent programmers to be able to write efficient code, and
to understand why programs take as long to run as they do.
