ATR音声翻訳通信研究所で研究開発された音声翻訳システム（ATR-MATRIX）の実力を評価するために人間能力との比較実験を実施しました。その結果、ATR-MATRIXはTOEIC能力が550点附近のネイティブ日本人と同じ音声翻訳能力を発揮することがわかりました。

We compared the speech translation capability between a native Japanese and the ATR-MATRIX speech translation system which was developed at ATR. The results show that the system's capability eqauls that of the Japanese with around 550 points on the TOEIC test.
