Proceedings of International Workshop on Optical Space Communication (IWOSC'90), December 6 and 7, 1990 ATR, Kyoto, Japan.
Abstract:This workshop has been organized by ATR Optical and Radio Communications
Research Laboratories to provide an opportunity to exchange information
and views on advanced research for optical space communication technology,
as well as information on existing and future optical space communication
projects worldwide. This workshop has been supported by the Ministry of
Posts and Telecommunications, the Science and Technology Agency,
the National Space Develop-ment Agency of Japan, and the
Institute of Electronics, Information and Communications Engi-neers
in cooperation with ATR International.
In this workshop, a breadboard model of the Laser Communication
Equipment unit is exhib-ited in meeting room #05 on this floor through
the collaboration of Communications Research Laboratory,
the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications,
Toshiba Corporation,
NEC Corpora-tion,
and the National Space Development Agency of Japan.
The Laser Communication Equip-ment is to be installed on the
ETS-VI satellite scheduled to be launched in 1993.
All workshop participants are invited to view this exhibition w
hich is opened to the public here for the first time.
