3D Image/Video Processing for Image Expression
Abstract:For the 3 years (from March 1996 to March 1999) of my research life in ATR MIC, I have enjoyed working on 3D image and video processing for image expression. The technical topics covered include multi-view stereo matching, image-based rendering, video motion analysis, and multi-image alignment. A number of systems toward flexible and realistic image expression have been tried. Some of the systems such as 3D video compositing system, real-image-based virtual studio, vision-based real-time interaction system, and MPEG2 compressed-domain motion analyzer have been successfully demonstrated.
