Speech-Act Recognition for
Dialogue Processing
Abstract:This report describes a statistical method for assigning speech acts to
dialogue utterances. The method is based on a corpus of dialogues labeled
with speech-act information. For an annotated corpus of 80 dialogs from
the hotel-reservation domain we obtain an accuracy of 85-90% when
using 70 dialogs for training and 10 for evaluation.
