Abstract:This is the report on a cooperative research at GETA from 9 May 1994 to 8 July 1994 in the framework of a three year contract, signed last year between CNRS-IMAG-GETA and ATR-ITL. In fact, this research was performed as the third business trip, in this contract, following H. Blanchon stay at ATR-ITL and K. H. Loken-Kim stay at GETA. This collaboration project, called "MIDDIM", aims at studying multimodal interactive disambiguation methods for spontaneously spoken dialogues as well as for written texts, for the Japanese-French-English languages.
The research also aims at building an ambiguity database, which will be used to help building a speech dialogue system as well as a machine translation system in the near future.
